FOR nurseries
and schools
Struggling to meet the Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) of the children in your nursery or school? Let us help. At New Heights we can provide assessment and intervention for children who have been identified as having SLCN and for those who have not yet been assessed but may be at risk of communication difficulties.
We are also passionate about looking at the wider environment of the school for opportunities to support the development of communication skills for all children and ensure that staff are empowered to provide the necessary support.
We will work alongside NHS therapists to provide collaborative assessment and therapy at your school. And we will also work closely with the school SENCO and agree on the different priorities and approaches. We measure outcomes and can produce reports and data to demonstrate an impact.

ASSESSMENTS AND SCREENING
We offer early intervention screenings for new intakes at both nurseries and primary schools, as well as more in-depth assessments for individual children who have been identified as having difficulty with their speech, language or communication.
-
THERAPY
Therapy can include 1:1 or group sessions focussing on attention and listening, social communication, understanding, spoken language, narrative and speech sounds. We may also work indirectly by training a TA to carry out the intervention designed by us.
-
TRAINING
We offer a range of bespoke speech and language training packages. We support teachers to identify difficulties, as well as teaching staff strategies to develop communication skills in children. We include follow up support to ensure strategies have been understood and implemented.
